Electronic Automation, Telematics & Cyber-Physical Systems
Research Laboratory
The Research Laboratory of Electronic Automation, Telematics and Cyber-Physical Systems which has been founded and operated since 2018 by the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering (IDPE) of UNIWA advances the design of innovative systems and services by applying optimum approaches and creatively combining knowledge as well as methodologies that derive from a wide range of sciences among which is Data Acquisition and Control, Wireless Sensor Networks, Microelectronics, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Human-Machine Interaction, Embedded Electronics, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Internet of Things, Smart Mobile Devices, Information Security, Information Systems, Communications and Networking, etc. By creatively employing these sciences the research Laboratory of Electronic Automation, Telematics and Cyber-Physical Systems aims to produce solutions in the form of usable and operational products, procedures and systems which meet the current guidelines for the operative implementation of the Industry 4.0 cutting-edge trend in all the productive sectors. This is accomplished through the ability of the laboratory members to establish frameworks which embrace the concept of smart digitalized environments wherein the control of physical and virtual objects is performed by integrated systems which employ autonomous interconnectivity and interaction methods.
